Check out some of the highlights of our 2007-2008 school year!
Awards and Celebrations Langston Hughes Academy scholars work incredibly hard to improve their grades and become model citizens. Each Friday during celebration scholars are recognized for their efforts to model and live by our values: Leadership, Critical Thinking, Respect and Hard Work. Each semester students with all A’s are named to the Principals’ List and students that made A’s and B’s are named to the Honor Roll.
Super Saturdays Each month students that have met behavior expectations and kept a high average on their passports are rewarded with an invitation to attend Super Saturday. This year are Super Saturday excursions have included a trip to Skate Country, a Halloween BBQ at the school, breakfast at Shoney’s and a movie, Hibachi lunch at Little Tokyo and Mardi Gras World and Soul Fest at Audubon Zoo.
